Before you take your seat
A few useful things.
How do I start playing?
Open the browser game or install the Android app. Try the coached tutorial for three short introductions followed by a full match. Create an account to claim a free starter, collect cards, build decks, and play with friends. Save your recovery code somewhere safe.
How do I install the Android app?
Download the APK on your Android phone and open the file. If Android asks, allow this browser to install apps, then tap Install. Future Scanside builds install as updates to the same app. Android 7.0 or later is required.
Do I need physical trading cards?
No. Scanside uses everyday product barcodes to discover digital cards. The game shows your daily scan allowance. You can scan with a camera or type the barcode numbers manually.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Offline practice is available. Open the browser game online first so it can save the game files on your device. Online matches, account access, new scans, messages, and trades need a connection.
